John Tian

John Tian

Founder, Lead Instructor, and Web Developer

Hi, I'm John; I founded PyCademy in 2023 to make high-quality STEM education accessible to students worldwide. As a USACO Platinum competitor, the highest rank in the USA Computing Olympiad, I bring elite competitive programming experience to my teaching. I'm also the founder of GradeWithAI, an AI-powered grading platform serving 1,000+ teachers across 100+ schools, and have worked as an engineering intern building AI systems for over a million users. When I'm not teaching or coding, you can find me contributing to open-source projects, conducting AI research, or capturing astrophotography during late-night road trips.

Rocky Wang

Rocky Wang

Instructor

Hi! My name is Rocky, and I'm a senior at YKPAO School in Shanghai, China. I gained my interest in statistics and economics when I was young, and I started learning since the eighth grade. I joined PyCademy with the goal of helping more children to better comprehend the world around them as well as dealing with concerns that children might have in events that are related to statistics and economics. Experiences: I've attended several economics competitions, ending with a national championship in FBLA hospitality & event management and a distinction award in national round of the NEC competition. In addition to that, I've done some case studies in economics, including investigation in the effect of green farming on rural countries. Education: I'm a senior at Shanghai YKPAO school. I have finished the IGCSE economics course and is now learning the IB economics course. I also did some extra self-learning outside of school, with an A in Cornell's summer program "ECON 1120 - Principles of Macroeconomics" and the finish of Mankiw's Principles of Macroeconomics.

James Sui

James Sui

IT

Hi there! I'm James Sui, your friendly 11th-grade IT guy, here to keep all things tech running smoothly for this program. When I'm not debugging code or running simulations, you'll probably find me tearing up the slopes on my skis or snowboard, smacking a tennis ball, or scoring goals in soccer and ice hockey. Basically, I like moving fast—whether it's on the field, on the ice, or in a high-octane FPS game (where, yes, I'm pretty much unstoppable). I'm studying at an international school in Shanghai, and as much as I love gaming and sports, I'm equally passionate about making a positive impact through technology.
